The last game of May brought sunshine, a full squad, and a fired-up crowd to Weiler for a perfect Saturday of Regionalliga rugby. With 23 players ready to go, the contrast to our last match couldn’t have been bigger—and the result reflected that energy.

The game kicked off with intensity. The first 10 minutes were a hard-fought battle with excellent defense on both sides. Then Roman broke the deadlock with a strong finish to put Vorarlberg ahead 5–0.

What followed was more defensive grit and pressure from both teams, until Antonio—now a regular on the scoreboard—cut through defenders for another five points. Not long after, Johannes reacted quickly from a scrum, and with Marcos charging through at full speed, we added another try to the tally. With Yannick slotting the conversion, the score stood at 17–0.

Kempten responded with a try of their own (17–5), but Vorarlberg wasted no time securing the bonus point. Stefan powered through for one, and Roman followed up with his second of the day. Suddenly, it was 29–5 for the home side.

A tactical kick from Tom set us up beautifully with a line-out near the try line. After solid passing through multiple pods, Tom found Tomás, who crossed the line for his first ever try in Vorarlberg colors. 36–5 at halftime and the crowd was loving it.

The second half started just as strong. Antonio capped off his brilliant day with another try, and Yannick stayed perfect with the boot—43–5. From there, the super subs stepped in: Alex, Barney, Eugen, Greg, and Sebi all contributed to a clean, confident finish. Kempten managed one more try before the final whistle, bringing the score to 43–12.

This match set a club record for most players on the match sheet and saw a fantastic turnout of fans. The win also helped us climb one position in the Regionalliga table—momentum is building!
