A rainy Saturday in Vorarlberg welcomed back several key players from the injury list, fielding a strong and rejuvenated home squad. With the rain coming down, the stage was set for a classic, wet-weather rugby battle against RC Regensburg 2000.

The first half was a relentless war of attrition. Slippery conditions turned the game into a highly physical contest defined by heavy tackles, contested rucks, and a massive volume of scrums—much to the delight of the forwards. Both defensive lines were absolutely impeccable, refusing to yield an inch. The halftime whistle blew with the scoreboard locked at 0–0, a testament to the brutal defensive shifts put in by both sides.

The halftime message was clear: secure the ball, play smart in the wet, and capitalize on every single opportunity inside the opposition's 22.

The breakthrough came early in the second half. Awarded a penalty near the Regensburg try line, Antonio spotted a gap and executed a quick tap-and-go, releasing Roman, who crashed over in the corner to break the deadlock. Yannick then slotted a magnificent conversion from a notoriously difficult angle to put Vorarlberg up 7–0.

The ensuing 30 minutes mirrored the first half—a bitter battle of field position, contested line-outs, and dominant tackles. The result remained on a knife-edge until the final minute of the match. Wasn’t until the last minute that Vorarlberg scored again! Liam converted and 14-0.

Two tries scored, zero tries conceded—a flawless defensive performance from the boys.
